كون ممتناً إن سمج لي القارئ أن أبسط له حيرتي إزاء تصنيف هذا الكتاب ، فهو ليس قصصا قصيرة رغم أنه يأخذ كثبرا من عناصر بنائها ، وليس أدبا علمياً للأطفال يستهدف تبسيط العلوم لهم لأنه ليس كذلك ، ولا خيالا علميا محضا ينزع القارئ من واقعه ، ولا حوارات أفلاطونية فكرية رغم اقترابه منها، ولا تنبؤات علمية رغم أن بعضاً من هذه الأفكار قد تحقق بعد انجازها عام 1996
إنها نصوص يمتزج فيها كل ما سبق .
لذلك حاولت أن أبحث عن هوية لها ، فوجدت في التفكير العلمي الذي ساد المقابلات ناظما مشتركاً لها ، لذلك فإني لن أجازف كثيراً إذا ما وصفت هذه النصوص بأنها أدب تفكير علميّ.
ولا يفوتني التنويه بأن ما ورد في هذا الكتاب من اكتشافات واختراعات ليست كلها صحيحة بالضرورة ، أو قابلة للتنفيذ ، إنما هي نماذج حية لمحاولات فكرية يمكن لها– كما نأمل - أن ترسخ لمبادئ التفكير العلمي المنتج في أجيالنا القادمة .
وإني لأرجو من الله - سبحانه وتعالى – أن يكون قد ألهمني عملا أثاب عليه بعد أن ينقطع عملي في هذه الدنيا .
