صدرت للكاتب الإسباني خوان خوسيه مياس رواية «هكذا كانت الوحدة» في سلسلة الجوائز لدى «الهيئة المصرية العامة للكتاب»، وهي الرواية التي فاز عنها بجائزة «نادال» الإسبانية عام 1990. وفيها يرصد حياة سيدة تعاني الوحدة فتقرر استخدام مخبر سري ليكشف لها خيانة زوجها، فيأخذ في إرسال التقارير التي سريعاً ما تمل منها، مكتشفة أن مأزقها أكبر من اكتشاف خيانة زوجها، ومن ثم تكلف المخبر بأن يراقبها هي على رغم أنه لم يرها مطلقاً.
خوان خوسيه مياس واحد من الكتّاب الإسبان المعروفين، ولد عام 1946، ودرس الفلسفة والآداب في جامعة كومبلوتس في إسبانيا، له الكثير من الأعمال القصصية والروائية فضلاً عن عمله في الصحافة. ومن أعماله: «العقل هو الظلال، امرأتان في براغ، هي تتخيل، الحديقة الخالية، ساذج وميت وابن حرام غير مرئي». ترجمت أعماله الى أكثر من خمسين لغة، وتصدرت قائمة أعلى المبيعات أكثر من مرة.
