روائي فرنسي، درس الحقوق، ولكنه عكف على التأليف الأدبي. أصيب بمرض عصبي جعله يمكث طويلاً في كرواسيه. كان أول مؤلف مشهور له: « التربية العاطفية » (1843 – 1845)، ثم « مدام بوفاري » 1857 التي تمتاز بواقعيتها وروعة أسلوبها، والتي أثارت قضية الأدب المكشوف. ثم تابع تأليف رواياته المشهورة، منها: « سالامبو » 1862، و« تجربة القديس أنطونيوس » 1874، ويعتبر فلوبير مثلاً أعلى للكاتب الموضوعي، الذي يكتب بأسلوب دقيق، ويختار اللفظ المناسب والعبارة الملاءمة.
Book Description
يؤكد شراح فلوبير، معتمدين على تواريخ دفاتره ومخطوطاته، أنه كان يمارس الكتابة الأدبية منذ أن عرف الكتابة – أي معالجة حروف الأبجدية. أما النصوص المترجمة ههنا، وهي مؤرخة كلها، فقد كتبها بين سن الخامسة عشرة والعشرين. وهي لم تنشر إلا بعد وفاته بعشرين عاما، إذ ظهرت روايته القصيرة «مذكرات مجنون» في 1900 م، ثم راحت طبعات نصوص صباه تتوالى، مغتنية بنصوص جديدة كل مرة.
نصوص الصِّبا - قصص وتأمّلات... قرأتُ وعملتُ بحماسٍ متأجّج... وكتبت... آه كم كنت سعيداً آنذاك!... كم كان فكري، في هذيانه، يحَلق عالياً في تلك الأصقاع التي لا تزال مجموعة لدى بني البشر، حيث لا أناس ولا كواكب ولا شموس.
كان داخلي لا متناهياً أرحب وأوسع من المطلق، وكان الشعر يتهادى محلقاً باسطاً جناحيه في فضاءٍ من الحبّ والنشوة، ثمّ توجّب عليّ الإنحدار مجدّداً من هذه السموات إلى الكلمات، لكن كيف بالإمكان أن أعبّر بالكلام عن هذا التناغم الذي يصعد في قلب الشاعر، وهذه الأفكار العملاقة التي تلوي الجُمَل كيّدٍ قويّة متورّمة تضيق بالقفّاز الذي يكسوها فتمزّقه؟...
يا لتلك الخيبة... خيبة أن نلامس الأرض، الأرض الجليديّة حيث تنطفئ كلّ نار وتخبو كلّ طاقة، فأيّ مرقاة تتوسّل للإنحدار من اللامحدود إلى المحدود؟... كيف يمكن للفكر أن ينحطّ من علٍ دون أن يتحطّم؟... كيف بالإمكان تحجيم هذا العملاق الذي يُعانق اللاّنهاية؟...
