ربعي المدهون (ولد في المجدل جنوب فلسطين سنة 1945 م) هو كاتب وروائي وصحفي فلسطيني، وهو أول فلسطيني يفوز بالجائزة العالمية للرواية العربية المعروفة بجائزة البوكر العربية (في دورتها التاسعة، سنة 2016).
حياته
ولد المدهون في المجدل، قرب مدينة عسقلان جنوب فلسطين سنة 1945، وهاجرت عائلته بعد النكبة إلى مخيم للاجئين في خان يونس بقطاع غزة، حيث نشأ المدهون.
تلقى المدهون تعليمه بجامعة الإسكندرية في مصر، لكنه أُبعد من مصر سنة 1970 ـ قبل تخرجه ـ بسبب نشاطه السياسي. عمل بالصحافة منذ سنة 1973، ويقيم في لندن، حيث يعمل حاليًا محررًا بجريدة الشرق الأوسط.
جائزة البوكر
في سنة 2016، أصبح المدهون أول روائي فلسطيني يفوز بالجائزة العالمية للرواية العربية (البوكر)، وذلك عن روايته "مصائر: كونشرتو الهولوكوست والنكبة"، وكان قد وصل إلى القائمة القصيرة للجائزة ذاتها سنة 2010.

Book Description
تبدأ الرواية بحكاية إيفانا الفلسطينية الأرمنية، التي أحبت في صباها طبيباً بريطانياً في زمن الانتداب على فلسطين، فأنجبت منه بنتاً سمّياها جولي، وهربا بها إلى لندن عشية نكبة عام 1948. بعد سنوات طويلة، وقبل وفاتها توصي إيفانا ابنتها أن تحرق جثتها وتنثر نصف رمادها فوق نهر التايمز، وتعيد نصفه الآخر إلى موطنها الأصلي: عكا القديمة.
“خذوا بعضي وكل روحي إلى عكا يعتذران لها حارة حارة. خذوا ما تبقى مني وشيعوني حيث ولدت، مثلما ستشيعني لندن حيث أموت. يا أصدقائي وأحبتي، يوماً ما، لا أظنه بعيداً، سأموت. أريد أن أدفن هنا وأن أدفن هناك”.
بعد وفاتها تنفذ جولي وصية أمها بمساعدة زوجها وليد دهمان (بطل رواية ربعي المدهون السابقة “السيدة من تل أبيب”)، فيسافران إلى فلسطين ويتجولان في مدنها، ويقعان في عشقها.
