علي الحمادي، مخرج تلفزيوني قطري، بدأ في تلفزيون قطر عام 1975 وكانت وظيفته مدير للاستديو، ثم بدأ حياتة في الإخراج.
كانت بدايته في الإخراج، مساعد للمخرج، ثم مخرج مساعد ثم مخرج، وكان أول عمل درامي من إخراجة مسلسل "الزيارة"، وقام بإخراج العديد من الأعمال التلفزيونية الناجحة، ومن أبرزها مسلسل "عفوا سيدي الوالد"، وشاركت مسلسلاته التي اخرجها في عدة مهرجانات عربية، وحازت على عدة جوائزة منها مهرجان المغرب العربي، ومهرجان القاهرة للإذاعة والتلفزيون·

يضم هذا الكتاب وهو الأول من سلسلة مساحة للتأمل مقالات كان الكاتب "علي الحمادي" قد نشرها في مجلة الإصلاح في دولة الإمارات العربية المتحدة، موجهاً إياها إلى أبناء أمته لا سيما الغيورين منهم والمخلصين، ومن عناوين هذه المقالات نذكر: أفيون الذكريات، قلة من الرموز، فلسنا بطير مهيض الجناح، للدعاة فقط، وقفة مع بوضياف، واجعلنا للمتقين إماماً، اضحك.. ابك.. ارقص.. اضحك.. ابك.. الخ، كمثل العنكبوت اتخذت بيتاً، الكريسمس...".
مساحة للتأمل هي مجموعة من الموضوعات المتنوعة، منها الجاد المؤلم، ومنها الطريف المضحك، وهي موضوعات تفاعل فيها القلب والقلم مع أحداث أمتنا وقضاياها المتعددة.
حاولت كسر جمود الموضوعات بالقصة والشعر، والطرفة واللعبة، والتنوع والتلون، رغم أنني حرصت أن تكون جميع الموضوعات هي موضوعات موجهة هادفة.
كان للتاريخ حظ وافر في موضوعات كتابنا هذا، ذلك لأن التاريخ يعيد نفسه، وما أشبه الليلة بالبارحة لذا، حاولت ذكر كثير من حوادث التاريخ، وإسقاطها على واقعنا اليوم، لتكون لنا عبرة، ولعلها تساهم في نهضة أمتنا.
