محمود الورواري إعلامي وأديب وشاعر يكتب والرواية والقصة القصيرة، يعمل في قناة العربية، التي قدم استقالته منها بعد ثورة 25 يناير وعمل في "قناة المحور" ولكنه عاد مجددا إلى قناه العربيه ليقدم عدة برامج منها نشرة القاهرة من مكتب القناة في مصر.
ولد بمركز ومدينة أبوصوير التابع لمحافظة الإسماعيلية, تخرج عام 1990 وعمل في 1991 في القناة الثانية المصرية في البرامج الثقافية وفى 1993 عمل في الـ ART وكان ممن ساهم في تأسيس قناة العالم الإيرانية في 2002.

صدرت عن الدار المصرية اللبنانية رواية مدد للاعلامى محمود الوروارى والتى ياتى فى مقدمتها ” انا ضميرك الذى خلعته ” بقرف ” وكانك تخلع فردة حذاء قديم، كنت تنوى وقتها قتلى حين القيتنى بعمد وحقد فى سلة القمامة لتخنقنى ببقاياك القذرة، لكنك كعادتك تركز على الفرعى وتنسى الاساس، تنخطف الى المتحول وتهمل الثابت، نسيت وقتها الفطرة والسليقة، نسيت اننى غير قابل للموت وان غيابى واقصائى لايعنى بالضرورة موتى ” تدور احداث رواية مدد بين الحياة الملوثة بالشرور والمطامع وبين الموت النقى بالكشف والتجلى، والتى وقفت فى منطقة ” البين ” منذ تنفُس حروفها الاولى، وحتى تعلق روح بطلها بين السماء، حيث الملائكة وافراح الشهداء .. وبين الارض، حيث الطين والشجن، وذلك من خلال رحلة الى اعلى، ابدع الكاتب فى وصفها، ليمنحنا القدرة على النظر الة انفسنا بتجرد والتطهر من ادراننا ونحن نقف بين ثورتين اضاءتا معارج الروح، ويقول ايضا الوروارى فى مدد ” فلتتحملنى بمحض ارادتك، فليس لديك وسيلة لقتلى، انها فرصتى لان استعيد قوتى المقتولة على مقصلة شرك، فانا لصيقك منذ اللحظة
