لم أقرأ شيئًا من قبل لصاحب "المخاض النيساني"، لكنني فوجئتُ به شاعرًا مرحبًا به في دنيا الشعر بعد أن استوفى شروط الانضمام بقصائده التي استوفت شروط الإبداع، سواء ما جاء منها على النظام الخليلي المتجدِّد، أو على نظام التفعيلة الذي ما زال خليليًا رغم تمرُّده على التشطير ومناوأته للقافية الموَحَّدة، وأكاد ألمح من خلال سطور القصائد شاعرًا لا تعنيه الأشكال، بقدر ما يعنيه الشعر في عمقه، وفي طاقته التعبيرية الباعثة على الانتشاء".
