تربية الأولاد تبدأ مبكرة جداً عما نتخيل ، لأن أغلب الناس تنظر إلى الطفل من ناحية نموه الجسدي ، وكثير من الناس يستصحب موقفه هذا الطفل الصغير منذ أن يحبو حتى يكبر وهو ما زال ينظر إليه بهذه النظرة . والإسلام في الحقيقة نبه إلى موضوع التربية ، وبعض الناس لا يلتفت لها إلا بعدما يكبر الولد وبتعدى الثانية عشر من عمره ، وهذه خسارة ما بعدها خسارة ؛ لأن نفسية الطفل وشخصيته تتشكل وتوضع البذرة الأولى لها في الخمس السنوات الأولى ، فهذه أخطر مرحلة تشكل كل مستقبل الطفل فيما بعد ذلك ، وهذه المرحلة يجب أن تحظى بأكبر قدر من العناية لكنها تحظى بأكبر قدر من اللامبالاة ، واللا مبالاة لا تساوى عدم التربية بل تسوى تربية خاطئة ، فاللا مبالاة في حد ذاتها إساءة .
