اشتهر بالكتابة الساخرة وأدب الرحلات.
عُدت مقالاته بجريدة المصري اليوم نقطة تحول في زيادة عدد محبى هذا النوع من الكتابة التي تمزج النقد السياسي بأدب الرحلات بالسخرية والتي نشر بها روايته (همّام وإيزابيلا) مسلسة.
وتجدر الإشارة إلي أن كتابه الأول "مصر ليست أمي..دي مرات أبويا" قد لقي حفاوة كبيرة من القراء حتي أنه طبع ثمانية عشر مرة حتي الآن وتناقلت تنزيله مئات المواقع علي النت باعتباره من أهم الكتب العربية في السنوات الأخيرة.
كتب في عدد من الجرائد منها: جريدة الوطن الكويتية وجريدة الدستور المصرية و التحرير المصرية و المصري اليوم.عمل مديراً لمصر للطيران في الكويت وكندا.

سُئلت السؤال ذاته مئات المرات مصحوبًا بالدهشة والتعجب. تلقيته وجهًا لوجه من الأصدقاء، وأتاني في الندوات والفعاليات من القراء، وحمله لي بريدي الإلكتروني وما زال يأتيني بلا انقطاع.
السؤال هو: لماذا عدت من كندا؟ وكيف بالله يا رجل تقضي بها خمس سنوات في حال من الاستقرار والحياة الهانئة الرغدة ثم تقرر بمحض إرادتك أن تترك هذا النعيم وتعود إلى مصر؟
من وقتها والسؤال يلاحقني وأصحابه يظنون بي «عبطًا» أو سذاجة حتى أترك وطنًا يحلم به الملايين من أبناء بلدي الذين لم يتركوا بابًا للهجرة والفرار إلا طرقوه، كما أن ملاحقة الأصدقاء والقراء لي بالسؤال حملت اتهامًا واضحًا بأنني رجل «فقري»، وحتمًا سأندم على النعمة التي تبطرت عليها بعد أن تركت مكانًا يهاجر إليه حتى الأوروبيون من فرنسا وألمانيا وإنجلترا؛ لأنه الأول على مستوى العالم في توفير اللقمة والكرامة، وعدت لوطن تم تثبيت أكتافه وأصبح أشبه بوضع مصارع جاهد وحاول الصمود حتى تغلب عليه الوحش و«جابه» لمس أكتاف! حسنًا... سأخبركم بأسباب قيامي بالهجرة العكسية من كندا إلى مصر».
