بين الكينونة والعدم مسافةٌ تُقطع في إتّجاهين وليس كلّ شخص بقادرٍ على قطعها في الإتجاه الصحيح، فما بالك وضبابيّة الرؤية واقعه اليومي.
حياة رتيبةٌ كئيبةٌ تحياها الشابة منيرة، وإذ لا تجد لها من طعم أو لونٍ أو رائحة تهرب منها إلى دَعَةِ المُهدّئات أوّلاً، وإلى ألق المُخدّرات لاحقاً، لتسكن فُقاعةً من الوهم سرعان ما ستنفجر مُفجّرة معها ينبوع دماء سالت من وريد البنت بغزارة.
أحقّاً حاولت منيرة الإنتحار؟ هي نفسها لا تعلم، ولكي تجيب بالنفي أو بالتأكيد كان لا بدّ لها من خوض رحلة بإتجاه الذات نقلتها مكانيّاً من بلدٍ إلى آخر، وطوّحت بها زمانيّاً فإذا هي الماضي المُعتم والحاضر الشاقّ والمُستقبل المجهول في آن، وكما في كلّ الرحلات طوت المُرتحلة الراوية بطيّها للمسافة وجوهاً ومشاهدَ وأحداثاً تجمّعت في حقيبة الذاكرة وحين نُثرت كانت هذه الرواية.
