وتطرق المؤلف أيضًا إلى تغذية قطعان إنتاج اللبن من الأبقار والجاموس من حيث احتياجاتها الغذائية، وتكوين علائقها حسب الحالة الإنتاجية لها، وتغذية العجول والعجلات، كما اشتمل محتوى الكتاب على تغذية حيوانات اللحم وطرق التسمين المختلفة، وكذلك تغذية الأغنام والماعز من حيث احتياجاتها الغذائية وتكوين علائقها حسب الحالة الإنتاجية.
الدكتور جمال الدين أبوالفتوح، هو استاذ ومدير المركز الاستشاري للدراسات والخدمات الزراعية في كلية الزراعة بجامعة الفيوم، عمل كمستشار علمي لمزرعة الإنتاج الحيواني، ورئيسًا لقسم الإنتاج الحيواني، ووكيلا لكلية الزراعة بالجامعة، وحصل على العديد من الدورات التدريبية في مصر وفى الولايات المتحدة الأمريكية.
