يحدثنا القس جيمس أنس في هذه الدراسة الفلسفية العميقة عن علم اللاهوت النظامي ويعرفنا بهذا العلم، ويبدأ الحديث عن علم اللاهوت وماهيته والآراء المختلفة حوله وذلك في حوالي ثمان فصول. ثم يفصل لنا المحاور التي تناولها هذا العلم، ويبدأ بالجزء الثاني من الكتاب يحدثنا عن الأنثروبولوجيا، أي الفكر اللاهوتي عن الإنسان ويستغرق في هذا الجزء حوالي 7 فصول، والجزء الثالث يحدثنا عن السوتيريولوجيا أي الفكر اللاهوتي عن الخلاص. ويختتم هذه الدراسة الفلسفية بالفصل الرابع عن الإسخاتولوجيا، أي الفكر اللاهوتي عن الآخرة.
