تخرج في جامعة بغداد، كلية الآداب، قسم اللغة العربية، وحصل على شهادة البكلوريوس، درس الماجستير في جامعة واسط كلية التربية ونال على الشهادة بتقدير جيد جدا. له العديد من المجموعات الشعرية، منها وطن المدافن، على ضفاف الوطن، عصافير مملكة الشمس، السومري الأخير، ألفية الحب المجنون، فضلا عن مسرحيته الشعرية الموسومة الأبطال. كتبت في شعره العديد من الدراسات الأدبية لغرض الحصول على شهادة الماجستير داخل القطر وخارجه.

المجموعة الشعرية عبارة عن خماسيات منظومة ببحور شعرية مختلفة وقواف متعددة ولكل خماسية عنوانها الخاص وموضوعها الذي تتحدث عنه. يبلغ عدد الخماسيات 112 خماسية ويبلغ عدد ابيات المجموعة 560 بيتا شعريا. المجموعة من القطع المتوسط في 120 صفحة، وفي نهاية المجموعة قائمة المحتويات.
يعود تاريخ نظم الخماسيات الى التسعينيات من القرن الماضي باستثناء بعض الخماسيات المنظومة ما بين الاعوام 2000م و 2008م. اما عن اختيار العنوان عصافير مملكة الشمس فكل خماسية عبارة عن عصفورة ومملكة الشمس تشير الى العراق.
