تخرج في جامعة بغداد، كلية الآداب، قسم اللغة العربية، وحصل على شهادة البكلوريوس، درس الماجستير في جامعة واسط كلية التربية ونال على الشهادة بتقدير جيد جدا. له العديد من المجموعات الشعرية، منها وطن المدافن، على ضفاف الوطن، عصافير مملكة الشمس، السومري الأخير، ألفية الحب المجنون، فضلا عن مسرحيته الشعرية الموسومة الأبطال. كتبت في شعره العديد من الدراسات الأدبية لغرض الحصول على شهادة الماجستير داخل القطر وخارجه.

ألف بيت وبيت من الشعر الكلاسيكي في قصة حب لم تكتمل بعد، منظومة على البحر الرمل، وبقواف متنوعة، اما ترتيبها فهي بواقع مائة عنوان وكل عنوان من عشرة أبيات، تتحدث عن موضوع ما، فالعنوان الاول الموسوم (اللقاء الاول) يحمل بين طياته اول لقاء جمع الحبيبين، بعدها ابيات بعنوان اللقاء الألكتروني وهكذا حتى نصل الى الابيات الاخيرة الموسومة(برجان) ويمكن ان نلحظ ان الحداثة ترافق الأبيات فهي أبيات في موضوعات عصرية.
