وإن كانت هناك بعض الحالات القليلة، كحالة محمد عبد الوهاب، التي وكما يقول؛ تنازعته ازاءها عاطفتان قويتان متعارضتان. وقد وجد المؤلف في ما تحتويه هذه المقالات من تحليل للمناخ الاجتماعي والسياسي الذي لعبت فيه هذه الشخصيات دورها، وما ترمز له من مواقف أعمّ بكثير مما لعبته هي نفسها من دور، وجد في ذلك ما قد يشوق البعض قراءته فجمعها في هذا الكتاب، وقد استعار له اسم كتاب مشهور للأستاذ أحمد بهاء الدين "أيام لها تاريخ" على أساس أنه، وإن كان لكل الأشخاص تاريخ بالطبع، كما أن لكل الأيام تاريخاً، فليس لكل الأشخاص ولا لكل الأيام تاريخ يستحق الذكر. وعلى هذا يرجو المؤلف أن يكون لهذه الشخصيات التي اختارها والتي يتناولها هذا الكتاب كانت من تلك الشخصيات التي لها تاريخ يستحق الذكر.
