إن سورة الليل سورة مكية ، بدأها الله تعالى بمخلوقاته التي تدل على كمال قدرته ، وبديع صنعته ، فهو الذي خلق النور والظلمة ، وخلق الذكر والأنثى ، وبين الحق من الباطل ، فتبارك الله احسن الخالقين ، وسيجازي – سبحانه – كل إنسان حسب عمله ، فأمر ان يعطي الإنسان من ماله وما وهبه الله له من فضل ، ويتقى الله ويجتنب محارمه ،يصرف ماله في طاعة ربه ليزكي نفسه وماله ،خالياً من شبهة الرياء والتفاخر ، بل يتصدق به ابتغاء وجه الله .
