أبو عبد الرحمن أحمد بن شعيب بن علي بن سنان بن بحر بن دينار النسائي (215 هـ - 303 هـ)، (829م - 915م) محدّث، وقاضٍ، وأحد أئمة الحديث النبوي الشريف، صاحب السنن الصغرى والكبرى، المعروف بسنن النسائي، ولد سنة 215 هـ في بلدة نسا من بلاد خراسان قديمًا وتقع في تركمانستان حاليًا، وطلب العلم والحديث وهو صغير، فرحل إلى خراسان والحجاز والعراق والشام والجزيرة العربية ثم استوطن مصر، ورحل الحفاظ إليه، خرج إلى دمشق فوجد المنحرف بها عن علي بن أبي طالب كثير، فألف كتاب "الخصائص" في خصائص علي فأُوذِي بسبب ذلك، وتوفي في سنة ثلاث وثلاثمائة، له العديد من المصنفات أشهرها السنن، وصنف أيضًا في الضعفاء والمتروكين، وفضائل الصحابة، وله كتاب في التفسير.

سُنن نسائی اردو : پیش نظركتاب اہل سنت وجماعت كے نزدیك حدیث كی چھ مشہور كتابوں میں سے ایك اہم كتاب سنن نسائی المجتبی كا اردو ترجمہ ہے۔ اس كتاب كی بیشتر حدیثیں قابل حجّت وعمل ہیں ، البتہ بعض حدیثیں ضعیف ہیں۔ اس كتاب كو بعض مغاربہ نے حسن ترتیب، طریق استدلال، صحت نقل، توضیح ابہامات اور بیان علل كے پیش نظر تمام كتب ستہ پر ترجیح دی ہیں۔ كتاب كی افادیت كے پیش نظر اسلامی اكادمی لاہور نے مزید اضافات كے ساتھ اسكی طباعت كا ارادہ كیا ہے، اس سے قبل یہ كتاب علامہ وحید الزماں كے ترجمہ اور مفید حواشی كے ساتھ شائع ہوچكی ہے۔ اگر كتاب میں تحقیق وتخریج كی خدمت پیش كردی جاتی تو اسكی افادیت مزید بڑھ جاتی ۔ بہر حال تین ضخیم جلدوں میں 5764 احادیث پرمشتمل یہ كتاب طالبان علوم نبوت كیلئے ایك بیش بہا علمی تحفہ ہے۔ رب كریم كتاب كے مؤلف، مترجم، ناشر، مراجع كو جزائے خیر دے ، اور جملہ قارئین كے لئے اس كے نفع كو عام كرے۔ اور ہم سب كو نبی پاك صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم كی سنت كو اپنی زندگی میں حرزِجاں بنانے كی توفیق دے۔آمین!
