عن الدار العربية للعلوم ناشرون صدرت رواية "زوجة النمر The Tiger’s Wife" الفائزة بجائزة أورانج للأدب النسائي للعام 2011. للروائية اليوغسلافية "تيا أوبرهت Téa Obreht". نقلها إلى العربية "أفنان سعد الدين". وفي هذه الرواية تستبطن أوبرهت تأثير الحرب على بلادها وتمزجه بالفانتازيا. وتخلط بين السلوك البشري والحيواني، لتقدم رواية فيها الكثير من المغامرة والتشويق. فما هي حكاية زوجة النمر؟ "بعد التمحيص في كل شيء. أصبحت اليوم أعرف الكثير عن زوجة النمر. وصار بإمكاني إخباركم الكثير من الحقائق: ففي أواخر ربيع العام 1941، ومن دون سابق تحذير أو إعلان بدأت القنابل الألمانية بالتساقط على المدينة. ولم تتوقف طيلة ثلاثة أيام. إلا أن النمر لم يكن يعلم بشأن هذا القصف. فرّ النمر من حديقة الحيوانات المحلية، وسار عبر الطرقات المدمَّرة إلى أن وصل إلى منطقة تشرف على قرية غالينا البلقانية. كان لغاراته الليلية على القرية وقع مخيف في نفوس القرويين. إلا أن أحد الأولاد في القرية اعتبر وجود النمر مثيراً؛ فقد ظهر شيرخان الذي لطالما قرأ عنه في كتاب الغابة. بعد حرب أخرى عصفت بالبلقان، زارت الطبيبة ناتاليا – وهي حفيدة هذا "الولد" – داراً للأيام، وخلال زيارتها تلك، وصلها خبر وفاة جدها المحبوب في مكان بعيد عن منزله، وفي ظروف يكتنفها الغموض. وعندما تذكرت ناتاليا أجزاء من القصص التي كان يرويها لها جدها، خمّنت أن جدها ربما توفي بينما كان يبحث عن الرجل المحصن؛ ذلك المشرد الذي قال إنه محَصّن ضد الموت. عانت كثيراً وهي تحاول تفهّم سبب هدر رجل علم مثل جدها وقته في البحث عن الرجل المحصن. إلا أنها اكتشفت صدفة السبب الذي ربطته بنسخة بالية من كتاب الغابة الذي كان جدّها يحتفظ به دائماً معه. ثم بقصة زوجة النمر التي عرفتها لاحقاً".
