العامَ الأَوَّل انقَضى وأَصبَحَ يبلغُ مِنَ العُمرِ ثَمانيةِ أَوراقٍ خَريفيّةٍ يائِسةٍ وبائِسة وحَزينّة.
طِفلٌ يَعيشُ فِي حالةٍ مِنَ الوَيل، يَشتَهِي أَن يَعيشَ كَباقِي الأَطفال، يَشتَهِي حِضنٍ حَنونًا يَنسَى مِن بَعدهِ فُراقَ والدهِ الحَبيب، شَخصًا يَكونُ لهُ العِوضَ عَن أَيامهِ القاتِلة، شَخصًا حَنونًا وكَريم.
