رواية رعشة تحكي تجربة حياة إنسان بسيط في مدينة عريقة بتاريخها وحضارتها، ومعالمها في فترة تعود إلى السبعينيات من القرن الماضي حين كان الصغار وبطل الرواية واحد منهم يشتغلون في خلال العطل المدرسية بالعمل في أنواع من الحرف، كما يقومون ببيع الحلويات ليساعدوا أسرهم، وأيضا من أجل توفير ما يساعدهم على اقتناء الكتب المدرسية، والترفيه عن النفس بمشاهدة أحد الأفلام الهندية في يوم عطلتهم.
