مُؤلَّفٌ يَضمُّ بين دفَّتَيْه قصائدَ «الفرزدق»؛ أشهرِ شُعراءِ العصرِ الأُموي، والذي اشتُهِرَ بنَظْمِه الكثيرَ من شِعرِ المَدحِ والفَخرِ والهِجاء. اسمُه «أبو فِرَاس هَمَّام بنُ غَالب بنِ صَعْصَعةَ بنِ ناجيَةَ بنِ عِقَال»، ويُعَدُّ من أكثرِ الشعراءِ الذين مَثَّلوا الحياةَ من جميعِ جَوانبِها في «العصر الأموي»، وكانَ مُعتَدًّا بنَفسِه وشِعرِه، فَخورًا بأصلِه ونَسبِه. كانَ «الفرزدق» مُعاصِرًا للشَّاعرِ «جرير»، وقد قِيلَ إنَّ الهِجاءَ بينَهما استمرَّ خمسينَ عامًا، وبالرغمِ من ذلكَ فقد رَثاه «جرير» بقصيدةٍ مُطوَّلةٍ عندَ وفاتِه.
