يَحوي هذا الديوانُ في وُرَيقاتِه مجموعةً كبيرةً من قصائدَ وموشَّحاتٍ تَجمعُ شتَّى أغراضِ الشِّعرِ لأحدِ شعراءِ إشبيليةَ البارزِين الذي لُقبَ ﺑ «شاعر الأندلس والمغرب»؛ إنه «ابن سهل الأندلسي». على الرغمِ من تَداعي الأوضاعِ السياسيةِ في أواخرِ حُكمِ العربِ للأندلسِ في القرنِ الثالثَ عشرَ الميلادي، فإنَّ ذلك العصرَ ظلَّ يَشهدُ رواجًا فكريًّا وثقافيًّا كبيرًا؛ فقد تَلألأَ في سماءِ الأندلسِ العديدُ من العلماءِ والأدباءِ والشعراءِ النابغِين الذين بَلغوا شأنًا عظيمًا وشهرةً واسعةً نلمَسُهما في مؤلَّفاتِهم وكِتاباتِهم القَيِّمةِ التي ما بَرحَت تُمثِّلُ مَرجِعًا مهمًّا لكلِّ الكُتابِ والشعراءِ المُعاصرِين، ومن بين هؤلاءِ شاعرُ إشبيليةَ «ابن سهل الأندلسي»، الذي طافَت سيرتُه وقصائدُه مَشارقَ الأرضِ ومَغاربَها؛ فهو من كبارِ الشعراءِ المُوشَّحات؛ ذلك الفنِّ الذي يُعدُّ رائعةً من روائعِ الشِّعرِ الأندلسي، وقد تَعدَّدَت ألوانُ شِعرِه؛ فنَجدُه من أكثرِ شعراءِ عصرِه غَزلًا؛ حيث كانت أغلبُ مُوشَّحاتِه لمَعشوقِه الفتى اليهوديِّ «موسى»، كما أفاضَ في التغنِّي بطبيعةِ بلادِه وجَمالِها، وغير ذلك من ألوانٍ يُمتعُنا بها هذا الديوان.
