قال الإمام علي (عليه السلام ) لصاحبه كُميل: " اجلس يا كميل، إذا حفظت هذا الدعاء فادعُ به كل ليلة جمعة، أو في الشهر مرة، أو في السنة مرة، أو في عمرك مرة، تُكْفَ وَ تُنْصَر وَ تُرْزَق، وَ لَنْ تُعْدَم المغفرة، يا كميل أوجَبَ لك طولُ الصحبة لنا أن نَجُودَ لكَ بما سألت ".
فضل دعاء كميل:
يعتبر هذا الدعاء من أفضل الأدعية التي تدعى ليلة الجمعة أي الليلة التي تأتي بعد ليلة الخميس، وهذا الدعاء الرائع يعمل على ترقيق القلب وكثرة اتصاله بالله تعالى، وكذلك يعمل على فتح أبواب الرزق والبركة لداعيه بشرط الإخلاص في الدعاء والطهارة وأن يكون مستوفي مستوجبات الدعاء, ويعتبر هذا الدعاء شاملاً، حيث يحتوي على مجمع الكلم في الدعاء، ويستحبُ ان يدعو به أسبوعيا كل ليلة جمعة، لينال بركة يوم الجمعة الفضيل، حيث أن في ليلة الجمعة ساعة فاضلة يستجيب الله تعالى فيها لكل من دعاه.
