عتيق رحيمي (بالفرنسية: Atiq Rahimi ) (ولد 1962م، كابل) هو كاتب أفغاني، يكتب باللغتين الفارسية والفرنسية كما هو مخرج أفلام، من أسرة ليبرالية، وبعد الاجتياح السوفييتي لأفغانستان، وانهيار النظام السياسي غادر إلى فرنسا، حيث أتم دراسته وحصل على الدكتوراه في الاتصالات البصرية، وفي عام 2008 حاز على جائزة غنكور، الجائزة الفرنسية الأدبية الأبرز، عن روايته "حجر الصبر".وجائزة الادب الفارسي في إيران في 2010 عن روايته الأرض والرماد.

عاش الأفغاني عتيق رحيمي في فرنسا وكتب هذه الرواية ليقول الحقيقة حول بلاده التي مزقتها الحرب. وبعد الإفراج عن العديد من الروايات في لغته الأصلية، قرر رحيمي أن يكتب كتابا في لغة وطنه الجديد، وكانت هذه أول محاولة ناجحة حيث نالت رواية "حجر الصبر" في عام 2008، على جائزة فرنسا الأدبية. هذه الرواية القصيرة التي كتبها عن المرأة الأفغانية يقدم بانوراما واسعة للحياة في أفغانستان اليوم، مع الوحشية الحادة من العلاقات العائلية الإقطاعية، والملل من الحياة اليومية وفي نفس الوقت المعتقدات الشعرية للشعب العريق.
لفترة طويلة جدا، كانت النساء الأفغانيات مجهولي الهوية والذين لا صوت لهم.
حتى الآن عتيق رحيمي يعطي الوجه والصوت لامرأة واحدة لا تنسى ، ويمكن للمرء أن يجادل بها، ويقدمها كوكيل لمظالم الملايين… وهي قراءة غنية، بالرموز، وتأخذك إلى حالة من التنقيب عن الشرف، والحب، والجنس، والزواج، والحرب.
فمن دون شك كتاب مهم وشجاع.
