بين يدي القارئ رسالة أخرى من رسائل شيخ الإسلام ابن تيميّة قد منّ الله عليّ بتحقيقها، وإخراجها في حلّة جديدة، تليق برسائل التّراث عموماً، وبرسائل شيخ الإسلام خصوصاً.
تظهر براعة وإتقان شيخ الإسلام في مجال التفسير، ولا عجب في ذلك؛ فقد قال أهل العلم في مدحه في مجال التّفسير الشيء الكثير، منها: ما قاله ابن سيّد النّاس - ضمن جملة أمور مدحه فيها، حيث قال: "إنْ تكلّم في التّفسير؛ فهو حامل رايته"، وقال ابن عبد الهادي في "مختصر طبقات علماء الحديث": "ترجمان القرآن".
ومنهج ابن تيميّة في تفسير: أنّه يقف عند المشكل وما يحتاج إلى توضيح، وغير ذلك يضرب عنه صفحاً، أما موضوع الرّسالة: فهو تفسير للمعوذتين، دون الوقوف على تفسير آية آية، بل تفسيره مبنيٌّ على توضيح المشكلات، ونقل كلام أهل العلم في الآية التي يفسرها، ثمّ يكون بعد ذلك المناقشة لهذه الأقوال، مبيِّناً القول الرّاجح في تفسيرها.
