سماح صادق، كاتبة وشاعرة، ولدت وعاشت بالقاهرة ودرست الأدب بجامعتها ، حصلت على ليسانس آداب في الأدب العبري عام 2003، ثم استكملت دراستها "بمجال الصحافة" بالولايات المتحدة الامريكية 2008-2009 ، وأخيرا هاجرت إلى كندا في عام 2010، نشرت ديوانها الأول "البنت البردانة في قلبي" في يناير 2010 عملت بالصحافة العربية وفي تحرير المواقع الالكترونية لعدة سنوات 2005 - 2012.
أسست في 2011 مجموعة حكايات عربية في مونتريال الأدبية، وحاليا تدرس الفرنسية وتصميم الجرافيك وتعمل كمترجمة ومحررة بالقطعة لبعض الدوريات العربية، تعتبر المدينة بصخبها هي مصدر الالهام الأول لديها، كما أثرت عليها تجربة السفر والترحال الدائم بين العديد من العوالم مما جعلها مهتمة في كتابتها بإشكالية الهوية والحرية وحقوقها كإمرأة.

لقد عاملت نفسي كعود جاف، ثم عاملتها كحبة قمح.. في الأولى كنت لا أرى أي أمل من وجودي سوى الاحتراق، وفي الثانية كنت أظن أن وجودي لا معنى له سوى إشباع جوع الآخرين!.. طحنت نفسي من أجلهم، وصرت خبزًا للجائعين من الرجال، وكانت متعتي الوحيدة تتحقق بالوصول إلى لحظات نشوتهم وإشباعها، ولم أفكر أبدا في كوني زهرة وشجرة ورد، تحتاج إلى رعاية خاصة واهتمام، وأن لي عطرا مميزا، وأنني أرغب في التكاثر والتفتح في موسمي. لم أدرك هذا، حتى نمت أشواكي قوية برية وسوداء، وبدأت في الإعلان عن ذلك بقسوة غير معتادة.
