لم ينشر وائل عبد الفتاح ديوانه الأول “ كسالى “ إلا على شبكة الإنترنت في أوائل الألفية الثالثة، ليتخلص منه بعد مرور عشر سنوات من كتابته وإعادة كتابته…و في 2009، كان ديوان “الغرام“ خطوة لازاحة اثقال من مجرى الكتابة…وبدا “تانجو الافيال “ في البداية مشروعا لإعادة تدوير الكسل والكسالى، لكنه ذهب الي عالم أوسع مستمتعاً بصحبة كسولة، مستريحاً في إيقاع خارج النشاط العادي الذي يلعب فيه مع الصحافة….وإذ يخطو مع الأفيال إلى عامه الخمسين، مازال الكسل علاقة حسية بالكتابة والزمن.
