جزء من المسرحية .. ملخص لحياة بجامليون :
فينوس : ما رأيك يا أبولون لو نفخنا الحياة فى تمثاله هذا مرة أخرى , و أعدنا إليه زوجته من جديد؟
أبولون : أتدرين ما الذى يحدث لو فعلنا ذلك ؟
فينوس : ماذا ؟
أبولون : عين ما حدث فى المرة الأولى .. يقبل على جالاتيا الحية معجبًا فى بادئ الأمر.. ثم لا يلبث أن يراها أقل جمالا و كمالا من جالاتيا العاجية .. فيطالبنا بردها كما كانت , صائحا فى وجوهنا بعين الألفاظ المهينة .. فإذا أعدنا إليه عمله الفني, هدأ لحظة ثم عاد يراه أقل جمالا وكمالا من الصورة الحية .. وهكذا دواليك ..لن يقر له قرار, ولن يطمئن له بال ..فلا جمال الحياه يشبعه, ولا جمال الفن يكفيه .. ولن يفتر عن ملاحقة الجمال والكمال في شتى الصور والأوضاع ومختلف الأشكال والأحوال ..لا ينطفئ له ظمأ إلا بانطفاء الشعاع الأخير من نفسه القلقة الحائرة
