بَعدَ مَوتِ «أخيل» وانتِصارِ الإغْريقِ في حَربِهم على «طروادة»، عَادَ المُنتصِرونَ بغَنيمةٍ مِنَ الأَسْرى اقتَادُوهم عَبيدًا، وكانَتِ المَلِكةُ «أندروماك» أَشهَرَ أولئكَ الأَسْرى وأهَمَّ غَنائِمِ تلكَ الحَرب. مَلكةٌ صُيِّرتْ بحُكمِ الحَربِ أَمَة، وفتنةٌ لم تنتهِ بانتِصارٍ وَحِيد، بل نَتَجَ عنها سِلسلةٌ مِنَ الحُروبِ الخَفيَّة، ستخُوضُها «أندروماك» وَحْدَها في البِلادِ الغَرِيبة، مُكابِدةً أَسْرَها الذي سيَّجتْه أرواحٌ تُحِب، وقُلوبٌ يَتنازَعُها الهَوَى. مِن بَينِ عَددٍ مِنَ الكُتَّاب، استَلهَمُوا كِتاباتِهِمُ الأدَبيةَ مِنَ الميثولوجيا اليُونانيَّةِ بأسَاطِيرِها وشُخُوصِها الغَنِيَّة، يَأتِي «راسين» بمَسرَحيتِه «أندروماك» في مَصافِّ أُدباءِ القَرنِ السَّابِعَ عَشَرَ ممَّنِ استَطاعُوا صِياغةَ تِلكَ الحَالةِ السِّحرِيةِ ببرَاعَة، في تراجيديا شِعْرِية، تَرجمَها عَميدُ الأَدبِ العَربيِّ «طه حسين» ببرَاعَتِه المَعهُودةِ في الصِّياغةِ والوَصْف، وكَأنَّكَ حَاضرٌ في حُجُراتِ «اللوفر»، تُشاهِدُ العَرضَ رأْيَ العَيْن، وتُرافِقُ أبطالَهُ إلى عَالَمٍ آخَر.
