ها هو كتاب ثانٍ في سنة الكتاب المقدّس، يفتحنا على كلام الله في العهد القديم وفي العهد الجديد، أما العهد القديم فأدخلنا إلى سفر المزامير، الذي صلاّه شعب كامل، بل شعوب الشرق حيث تكون صلاة العبراني مثل صلاة الفينيقي والموآبي والعموني.
الصلاة تصلنا بالله، وكل إنسان يحتاج إلى هذه الصلة، أن يتوقّف الإنسان عند عناصر الطبيعة، من الشمس والقمر إلى البحر ونهر النيل، فهذا لا يعني أنه عبدَ هذه المخلوقات، بل كشف فيها العظمة والقوة والجمال والحياة، واحتاج خطوة ليرى كم ربه أعظم منها.
وفي العهد الجديد، ثلاثة أحاديث استوحت انجيلي متى ويوحنا، قيلت في مناسبات، أما القسم الثالث فربط الكتاب المقدّس بالليتورجيا: ففي الليتورجيا، في صلاة الجماعة وإحتفالاتها، تقرأ الكتب المقدسة، بل هي العنصر الأساسي، وإن كانت اناشيد، فهي تستلهم كلام الله.
مقالات عديدة دُوّنت هنا وهناك أو ألقيت، فجمعناها في باقة زهر وأردنا أن نقدّم للمؤمنين ما تأمّلناه وصلَّيناه، وفي النهاية كتبناه، يا ليتهم يختبرون ما اختبرنا.
