يطيب لي أن أتحدث هنا عن كتاب جديد اسمه "اللاذقية في القلب" ، وهو كتاب شامل عن مدينة اللاذقية ، يقع في 435 صفحة ، كاتبه هو أحد عشاق المدينة الساحرة وأحد أبنائها ، والذي استغرق في تأليفه وضبطه سنوات طوال.
يحكي الكتاب في جزئه الأول تاريخا مختصراً للمدينة وما تعاقب عليها من أقوام وأمم ، كما يربط ويوضح علاقة اللغة المحلية المحكية بمفردات لغات الأقوام السابقة.
أما في جزئه الثاني فهو يحكي بالصور والشروحات عليها ، تاريخ المدينة وبعض بلدات الريف المحيطة بها. ثم يأتي الجزء الثالث الذي يمثل قاموساً شاملاً للهجة اللاذقية المحكية ، ومعنى كل كلمة فيها ، ويحوي كذلك على مجموعة كبيرة جدا من الجمل والتعابير والأمثال الشعبية المستخدمة. أما الجزء الرابع ، فيبين بالصور كثيراً من الحلويات اللادئانية التقليدية المشهورة ، وفي نهاية الكتاب هنالك قسم للمحاصيل الزراعية التي اشتهرت في المحافظة ، وينتهي الكتاب بمجموعة خرائط عن المدينة ومحافظة اللاذقية.
