الأخفش الأوسط
أبو الحسن المجاشعي بالولاء، البلخي ثم البصري، المعروف بالأخفش الأوسط - 000 - 215 هـ = 000 - 830 م -
سعيد بن مسعدة المجاشعي بالولاء، البلخي ثم البصري، أبو الحسن، المعروف بالأخفش الأوسط: نحوي، عالم باللغة والأدب، من أهل بلخ.
سكن البصرة، وأخذ العربية عن سيبوية.
وصنف كتبا، منها:
* تفسير معاني القرآن - خ.
* شرح أبيات المعاني - خ.
* الاشتقاق.
* معاني الشعر.
* كتاب الملوك.
* القوافي - خ. في دار الكتب مصورا عن حسين شلبي -330 أدبيات - وزاد في العروض بحر - الخبب - وكان الخليل قد جعل البحور خمسة عشر فأصبحت ستة عشر.

فائدة مقتطفة من سير أعلام النبلاء للذهبي:
الأَخْفَشُ:هُوَ الضَّعِيْفُ البَصَرِ، مَعَ صِغَرِ العَيْنِ.
- وَكَانَ الأَخْفَشُ الكَبِيْرُ ( ت 177 هـ) فِي دَوْلَةِ الرَّشِيْدِ، أَخَذَ عَنْهُ:سِيْبَوَيْه، وَأَبُو عُبَيْدَةَ، وَهُوَ:أَبُو الخَطَّابِ عَبْد الحَمِيْدِ بنُ عَبْدِ المَجِيْدِ الهَجَرِيُّ اللُّغَوِيُّ .
- وَكَانَ بِدِمَشْقَ - قَبْلَ الثَّلاَثِ مائَةٍ - الأَخْفَشُ، المُقْرِئُ (ت 292 هـ) ؛صَاحِبُ ابْنِ ذَكْوَانَ
- وَكَانَ فِي أَيَّامِ المَأْمُوْنِ الأَخْفَشُ الأَوْسَطُ (ت 215 هـ) ؛ شَيْخُ العَرَبِيَّةِ، وَهُوَ أَبُو الحَسَنِ سَعِيْدُ بنُ مَسْعَدَةَ ؛صَاحِبِ سِيْبَوَيْه.
- والأَخْفَشُ الصَّغِيْرُ ( ت 315 هـ) هو العَلاَّمَةُ، النَّحْوِيُّ، أَبُو الحَسَنِ عَلِيُّ بنُ سُلَيْمَانَ بنِ الفَضْلِ البَغْدَادِيُّ [الذي كان ابن الرومي يهجوه]
