الغريق "هو ديوان شعري يحمل على مركبه قصائد متنوعة ، البعض منها يبسط أشرعة الأمل عاليا ،ومنها من يهرب من الحياة ، ومنها ما تبقى من ذات شاعرها ، صيغت بأسلوب سهل وبسيط ليكون بمقدور الجميع فهم المحتوى ، الكتاب يشبه الحديقة في تلونها فكل قصيدة تنفرد بطابعها و كل كلمة تنفرد بمعناها ، إلا أنها تشترك في كون أغلبها قصائد مهزومة ، أين تتسم بطابع الحزن والانكسار، لكن هناك دائم استثناء للفرح والحياة بين ثناياها . فلا يمكن للمرء أن يتخلص من حزنه بل يجب أن يتقبله لأن نصف الحياة شقاء ونصفها مسرة .
