مجموعةُ الشَّاعرِ أوس حسن (الغريبُ الذي نَسِي ظلَهُ) واحدةٌ من المجموعات التي اشتغلتْ على بنيةِ الحضور والغياب، فقد تكونتْ من (ثمانِي عشرة قصيدة)، استهلت بقصيدةِ (أسئلة من رماد)، وهي قصيدةُ أسئلةٍ منذ مستهلها حتى خاتمتِها. وقوامُ هذه الاسئلةِ يقومُ على الحضورِ والغيابِ، بوصفهما فعلا حياتيًّا، قد يحدث فيها، ولكنَّهما ليسا متضاديين، كما يتجلَّى ذلك في المعنى الذي تحيلُ عليه المُعجماتُ العربيّةُ، وهو ينحصرُ بالتناقضِ
والتضاد.
يتسعُ معجمُ الشاعرِ ليحمّل المفردات دلالاتٍ جديدةٍ، تخرجُ من معجميتها لتتحول إلى جزء من بنية الغياب التي هيمنت على هذه المجموعة، من ذلك قصيدة (عبث) فهي لونٌ من ألوانِ الامساك بطرفِ الحياةِ، والقِرَانِ بكلِّ ما هو جميل فيها، لكن التَفلّتَ من قبضته يستحيل إلى عتبة من عتبات
الغياب.
