حينما يدخلُ إلى مكتبه، بعد مراسم الدفن، يكشف أنَّه كان يشتغلُ على مشروعِ فيلم غير عاديّ، إذ يرجع بنا إلى جانبٍ صامتٍ من تاريخنا القريب، حيث تَدُور أحداثه حولَ الكابورال محمّد في حقبة الحرب العالمية الثانية وتَحكي لنا الآلام التي ذاقها الجُنود المغاربة الذين أُقحِمُوا في حربٍ لم تكُن تَعنيهم في شيء.
سيعيشُ كمال وسط شخوص شكّلت ملامح رواية شيّقة ويغوصُ في نهر من الحقائق لم يسمع عنها من قبل، ممَّا سيَدفعُه إلى طرح الكثير من الأسئلة الموجعة والمزعجة في الآن ذاته.
