في الحقيقة كنت مستعداً لمثل هذا المشهد, غير أني تفاجئت حينها عندما رأيت شخصاً ما يقف بالقرب مني, طويل القامة ضخم, يرتدي عباءة سوداء فضفاضة, تتجه نحوها أشياء تشبه الرياح كأنها تسحب أرواح, وتتحرك أطرافها بشكل غير مألوف, وبالكاد رأيت وجهه غير الواضح يشبه كتلة من نور , ويشبه شخصاً صديقاً أو قل قريباً رأيته سابقاً ولكني لا أتذكر أين أو متى, كبيراً بالسن, وغير مخيف, يبدو عطوفاً, وربما تربطني به صلة قرابة, أو شبه لي ذلك, وعلى أي حال سارت الأمور هكذا, وكأنني إستعطفه برجاءٍ, ليمهلني دقائق معدودات قبل إتمام مهمته, حتى خيل لي كما يرى النائم أنه وافق, حتى بدت حياتي كلها مثل فلم سينمائي يعرض أمامي, , وما أثار فضولي أني لم أكن خائفاً آو هلعاً وإنما مستسلماً هادئاً غير مبالٍ وكأني ذاهب الى مكانٍ أعرفه, أو زرته سابقاً, أو ربما كنت هناك وجئت الى هنا في زيارة لوقتٍ محدد.
