لقد جاء الإسلام لينشر السلام والوئام بين الناس جميعا فمن أسماء الله السلام والجنة هي دار السلام وتحية أهل الجنة السلام وتحية المؤمنين هي السلام وتحية الله لأنبيائه وعباده الصالحون هي السلام ، فالسلام هو المسالمة والمحبة والمودة ، فهناك نوعان من السلام سلام داخلي وهو السلام النفسي) وسلام خارجي مع الآخرين ، ولن يعيش الإنسان في سلام مع العالم إلا إذا حقق السلام مع نفسه وصدق من قال : "أن من يعيش في سلام مع نفسه يعيش في سلام مع العالم"
وبمعنى أدق أن من يعيش في حالة سلام مع الله سوف يحيا بالتأكيد حالة سلام مع نفسه ومن ثم الآخرين والعالم الخارجي.
والسلام الداخلي يبدأ من الروح، أي من تحسين علاقتك مع الله عز وجل ويسمى
(السلام مع الله عز وجل).
