الرياضيات للفقيه، كتاب يقدم للفقيه حاجته من علم الرياضيات الذي له تطبيق عملي في الفقه، ويأتي أهمية هذا الكتب من كون الفقيه محتاجاً لكي يبدع في اختصاصه إلى الإلمام بما يرتبط باختصاصه من علوم، يحتوي هذا الكتاب على معظم المطالب البسيطة التي يحتاجها الفقيه والتي لا يستغنى عنها ومن دواعي تأليف هذا الكتاب أن بعض المسائل الفقهية المرتبطة بالرياضيات أعطيت أجوبتها بشكل تعبدي، أي من دون معرفة فلسفتها والحيلة والوسيلة إليها بينما تطلعك رياضيات اليوم على أسرار الحل والأصل في كيفية الاهتداء إليه. كما أن الطرق القديمة تقف حائرة لو تغير موضوع المسائل بينما تكون الرياضيات المعاصرة مستعدة لمعالجة أية تغيرات في موضوع المسألة بسبب معرفتها لأسرار القوانين ومنشأها.
والكتاب لا يخاطلب مرحلة علمية معينة ففيه مختلف المستويات الفقهية والرياضية من الابتدائية إلى العالية. وبما أن البحث في هذا الموضوع له جهتان أحدهما فقهية والأخرى رياضية، فقد أعطى المؤلف بعض الفقرات عنواناً فقهياً وبعضها عنواناً رياضياً وذلك بحسب أهمية الجهة المبحوثة في تلك الفترة، كما اقتضت منهجية البحث التدرج في المعلومات ابتداءً بالأساسيات منها. كما لم تبن الآراء الفقهية المعروضة في الكتاب على رأي فقيه معين لأن الكتاب وضع للجميع.
