رواية الراقصون على النار تأليف محمود النواصرة، تتناول الرواية موضوع شائك جداً في مجتمعنا المصرى ألا وهو قضية الوحدة الوطنية، من خلال قصة أم بدلت بابنتها ذكراً، فهي أم لـ 4 إناث، ويهددها زوجها المعلم في وكالة البلح بالطلاق إذا ولدت أنثي أخري، فعندما تعلم أنها حامل في أنثي، تذهب إلي العرافة، التي تستبدل طفلتها الأنثي في المستشفي بطفل ذكر، حتى تحقق لزوجها أمنيته التي طالما راودته في أن تنجب له ولداً ذكراً، وتواجه هذه الخطوة عقبات، فبمرور الأحداث تكتشف الأم أن ابنتها تعيش في رعاية عائلة مسيحية، وتعتنق الديانة نفسها، فنجد الطفل المسيحي يتربى في أسرة مسلمة، والمثل حدث للطفلة، مسلمة تتربى في أسرة مسيحية، فتحاول الأم جاهدة أن تختطفها علي أمل إيداعها لدي أختها فيتسني لها رعايتها، وأدخلها إلي دين الإسلام، ولكنها تفشل في ذلك، وتقرر الأسرة المسيحية الهجرة إلي الولايات المتحدة، وتتصارع الأحداث، ويشب الولد والبنت، وتنكشف الحقيقة، وفي النهاية يظل كل منهم علي دينه، ويحدث تلاحم بين المسيحيين والمسلمين.
