الغريب أن عملية الختان تحاط، عادة، بمظاهر فرح وابتهاج فى جو الأسرة، ويتودد الجميع للطفلة المستهدفه بالختان ويلبسونها الملابس الجديدة الزاهية، ويقدمون لها ألد أنواع الحلوى والطعام والهدايا ، وفى غمرة فرحتها تفاجاً بأحبائها يشلون حركتها لتقوم امرأة عشماوية الملامح ببر جزء من لحمها الحى!
