إن مفردات الصوفية وأفكارهم توغلت وانتشرت في مسلك عرفاء الشيعة الذين تأثروا بالتصوف ، وفي أوساط من ينجذب إليهم ، ثم أخذت تتعاظم ويُنظر لها كأنها نصوص شرعية ملزمة العمل بها والسير وفقها ، مع أن تلك الأفكار والمتبنيات مخالفة للدين ، ولا تمت له بصلة وإن كانت مُعنونة باسم العرفان ، وذلك لأن أصل المحذور لم يكن بالعنوان والتسمية ، وإنما بما يتضمن من محتوى يمثل الفكر الصوفي ويجسد مضامينه.
وقد غرر عنوان العرفان بالكثيرين وجعلهم يتبنون ما كان للصوفية من رؤى ومعتقدات ، لأن الغالبية العظمى ممن يتقبل تلك الرؤى وينساق إليها هو لتوهم المغايرة بين التصوف والعرفان ، في حين أن تسمية العرفان زامنت التصوف وكانت تُطلق عليه منذ بدايات انتشاره في البلاد الإسلامية ــ هذا فيما إذا لم نقل إن العرفان كان يُطلق على التصوف قبل الإسلام ــ فلو كانت أفكار التصوف تُنشر باسم التصوف ، أو يُعلم أنها للتصوف لرفضتها الكثير من الأوساط الشيعية التي أخذت تميل نحوها بدون أدنى تردد وتأمل ، ولكن تحت طائلة العرفان وعدم المعرفة بنشأتها وجذورها الصوفية تُتقبل وتنمو حواضرها.
