يبحث هذا الكتاب في البيئة ومكوّناتها الحيّة واللاحيّة مستعرضا لأهمية الماء والهواء والغلاف الجوي متناولاً النظام البيئي اللاحيّ ومكوّناته ومنبهاً لأهمّ الإشعاعات الصادرة من خلال بعض الحوادث الكارثية كحادثة كتشرنوبل وفوكوشيما والملوثات البحرية وكذلك حوادث الطائرات والقطارات وانعكاس ذلك على البيئة. ومن ثم بعض الملوثات الأخرى كالتدخين والكحول والمخدرات الطبيعية والرقمية ومستحضرات التجميل وخطورة كلّ ذلك على الإنسان وتناول الكتاب أيضاً موضوع الإحتباس الحراري وخطورة ذلك على البشرية جمعاء مستعرضاً أهم الإتفاقات الدولية البيئية ورؤية لمستقبل البيئة.
