هذه الكتاب محاولة جادة لعرض فكرة متكاملة مع مبادئها وخطة عملها والأجزاء التي نفذت منها، وهو عرض لأسس المنهجية التي ينبغي أن يتوخاها العقل المسلم في سائر المجالات ويربى عليها الإنسان المسلم ليحكم المنهج السليم سائر تصرفاته ونواحي سلوكه، وهو كذلك محاول لبيان انعكاسات المنهج على قضايا المعرفة خاصة، ليتمكن المسلمون من معرفة حقيقة الأزمة التي تعاني منها الأمة وجذور تلك الأزمة وانعكاساتها على الجوانب المختلفة من حياتهم، مع محاولة تخصيص المعرفة بشيء من العمق في البحث والدراسة واقتراح منهج للعمل جديد يكون فيه لكل مسلم دوره في معالجة هذا الجانب الأساسي من جوانب أزمة وجود الأمة.
إن هذا الكتاب عبارة عن قضية تمثل رؤية مجموعة من أهل الغيرة والخبرة والمعرفة وهذه الرؤية تمثل المبادئ الأساسية لمنهج الفكر الإسلامي وخطة العمل اللازمة لتحقيق هذا الهدف النبيل وما تم إنجازه من عمل، يقدمها المعهد العالمي للفكر الإسلامي للأمة المسلمة لا لتكون قراءة ثقافية ترويحية، بل لتتخذ خطة عمل ودليل مسيره نحن جميعاً مطالبون بتنفيذها والمشاركة في حمل أعبائها وشرف إنجازها.
