الثقافة الإسلامية هي المعرفة المستنبطة من الوحي، أو المبنية عليه، وهو المتمثل بالكتاب والسُّنَّة. ولكي تبقى هذه الثقافة جديرة بإضافتها إلى الإسلام لا بد من الاستمرار في عرضها على ما استنبطت منه. لأن الكتاب والسنة هما المصدران الوحيدان للإسلام. وهما من الله تبارك وتعالى. وهما يشكلان قاعدة فكرية وقيادة فكرية في الوقت نفسه. قاعدة تقاس عليها الأعمال، وترتكز عليها الأحكام في جميع شؤون الحياة. وقيادة ينطلق منها الفرد والجماعة والمجتمع والدولة. فالكتاب والسنة مرجعية وحيدة للمسلمين جميعاً.
والمسلم الواعي، حريص على هدى ربه، يلتزم الإسلام منهجاً للحياة، لا يُعمي بصره ولا بصيرته بريق الإعلام المُوَّجه. ولا يضيره ولا يبهره قوة سطوع الدعاية. ومن نافلة القول إننا نعيش في عصر تلعب الدعاية والإعلان دوراً كبيراً في صناعة الرجال والأفكار والكتب شأن ذلك شأن العمل على ترويج السلع والبضائع المزجاة. فنجم عن ذلك وعي حقيقي، ووعي زائف.
الوعي الحقيقي هو الذي يدرك الواقع ويجعل الكتاب والسنة المصدر الذي يعالج الواقع.
أما الوعي الزائف فهو الذي لا يدرك الواقع ويصدر حكماً لمعالجته، أو أنه يدرك الواقع ويعالجه بفكر خاطئ، أو يعالجه بطريقة من غير جنس الفكرة التي يعتقدها، أو يجعل الواقع مصدراً للتفكير.
