في سابعِ مجموعاته الشعرية يُشيِّدُ الشاعر بشير البكر مُدناً من الخراب، يرتِّب الأنقاضَ بقصائد مؤلمةٍ، وذاكرة تعجُّ بأصواتِ القنابل والانفجارات، كأنَّ كلَّ نهايةٍ دمار، وما يأتي لاحقاً هو عدمٌ ولا شيء، فالمنافي الباردة، تزيدُ من الألم وتُعمِّقُ الجراحَ البعيدة. هنا تبدو العتبتان اللَّتان استهلَّ بهما الشاعر كتابه، بخلفيتِهما السوداء وبياضهما المؤلم، مهمِّتَيْن للمضي في رصدِ أنطولوجيا الحرب ومآسيها؛ وسيرة آخر الجنود، يكتبُ البكر: "الألمُ ذلك الشيءُ/ الذي لا يُسبِّبهُ أحد..." ويضيف: "ما عدا القنابلَ/ والأطلالَ/ والدمعةَ في العين/ لا شيءَ/ أيَّتُها البلاد".
في "آخر الجنود" ستتلاحقُ الصُّور المُمزَّقة، وتمتزج بيومياتِ غريبٍ في بلاد آمنة، فتصعدُ غيومُ دخَّان من فنجانِ القهوة، ومن كأس البيرة تصعدُ فقاعاتٌ غرقى، ستطفو الذكرياتُ كجثثٍ فوقَ سطح البحر.
نقرأ: لا ترى ما يقرؤُهُ الصَّمتُ/ في كتابٍ أبيضَ بلا كلام/ يتحدَّثُ عن أطفالٍ من سُورية/ حاولُوا عُبُور البحرِ/ وطافوا هناك.
هكذا، يصبحُ تدوينُ الكوابيس وتسجيلُ المناماتِ عملاً يوميّاً، يحدثُ كأيِّ شيءٍ يوميٍّ في دورة الحياة. هل ستكونُ الكتابة منجاة؟ أم هي عكسُ ذلك، حتّى وإن ارتبطت بالتفاصيلِ العادية، لرجلٍ ضائع ما بين الجمر والرمّاد، رجلٌ تحيطُ ببيتهِ أشجار الحدائق في لندن، بينما تتسَّللُ إلى غرفة نومه رائحةُ شجرةٍ من الغوطة في الخريف.
يكتبُ بشير البكر ألمَهُ كثيفاً، عابراً ومقيماً مؤقتاً في مدن كثيرة، بيروت، باريس، تونس، داكار، منحازاً لذاكرة مكانهِ الأوّل؛ حيثُ يرى ما يرغبُ في رؤيته، وهو يعيشُ غربةً مزدوجةً، ووحدةً مضاعفة بين الأمكنة، وتتبعُ تلك المدنَ والأمكنة بورتريهاتٌ تتقاطع مع الإنساني والشعري في ذاكرةً الكتابة. من قصيدة "الحسكة" نقرأ: "أيُّها الريفُ القصيّ/ لا تتحرَّكْ من هناك/ انتظرْني دائماً ..."
