Book Description
This novel is about twins born in 1984. Their father is always drunk and on the top of that he is a ladies' man whereas their mother is a stripper in one of the night clubs in Britain. In other words, when the twins were born, they are (Darla and Karla) they are almost typical except for one single difference, Darla has blue eyes while Karla has one blue eye and another black one, their father had no idea about the whole case.
Therefore, their mother took charge and she tried to raise them until she was infected with cancer. Three months later, their mother died. So, both girls were sent to orphanage in the age of 11 months because she did not have any relative to take good care of them. As time went by, one of the British families wanted to adopt one of the girls found in the orphanage. Therefore, they have chosen Darla.
