La servidumbre es una esencia fitrah en la que Al•lâh ha creado al ser humano y, de la cual, no se puede desprender en modo alguno. Las personas, pues, se encuentran ante la siguiente disyuntiva: por un lado, se puede ser un siervo entregado y obediente a Al•lâh y, así, su corazón se tranquiliza y su espíritu se sosiega. O bien, la persona puede ser un siervo de falsos dioses, como su pasión, los ídolos, las imágenes, el dinero, los sistemas o los propios seres humanos. Si hace así, su espíritu padecerá, su corazón se desmembrará y perderá tanto en esta vida como en la otra.
