إن الحياة في خطر حقيقي واقعي في ظل سيطرة الحضارة الغربية المتقدمة صناعياً والمريضة إنسانياً، وحسب آراء وأبحاث المؤرخين، كان القرن العشرون أكثر القرون وحشية ودموية وإرهابية في التاريخ، بفعل الحضارة الغربية المريضة، فالضحايا بعشرات الملايين والحروب الغربية (العالمية) والإقليمية والمحلية بالمئات، بالإضافة إلى مشاكل تلوث البيئة، وانقراض أكثر من مائة ألف نوع من الكائنات الحية، فضلاً عن استهلاك ثلث موارد الطبيعة خلال العقود الثلاثة الأخيرة من القرن العشرين، ولعل أهم الأخطار الواقعية والرئيسية للحياة بمختلف أنواعها على كوكبنا هي:
وجود مخزون نووي ضخم وهائل بيد الأقوياء بغير حكمة ولا رحمة ولا ضمير حي، وهذه القوة النووية الكامنة بيد الرجل الأبيض المريض قادرة على أن تفجر الأرض بما فيها بأكثر من خمسين مرة، واستخدم السلاح النووي في الحرب الغربية الثانية من قبل الولايات المتحدة الأمريكية ضد اليابان، وخلال دقائق دمرت المدن والقرى والأحياء، وتوفي أكثر من مائتين ألف مدني، وما تزال آثار التشوهات في البشر والأنواع الحية تظهر حتى الآن بفعل هذا الإرهاب النووي الغربي.
وهدد حديثاً الرئيس الأمريكي السابق بوش علناً، باستخدام السلاح النووي الأمريكي، في حروبه ضد البشر، وهذا يؤكد عمق تهافت وسقوط العقل الغربي الرسمي على المستوى الإنساني.
وبالإضافة إلى الاستخدام المقصود للسلاح النووي، هناك الحوادث الطارئة على المفاعلات النووية، كما حدث في المفاعل النووي السوفياتي تشرنوبيل عندما انفجر في نيسان 1986، مما أدى إلى تلوث شعاعي لكل قارة أوربا ومعظم دول العالم، بالإضافة إلى خطر الكوارث الطبيعية كالزلازل والتسونامي عليها، كما تضرر المفاعل النووي الياباني فوكوشيما حديثاً بأمواج التسونامي مما ادى إلى تلوث نووي لكافة عناصر البيئة البحرية والبرية والاجتماعية المحيطة به.
