(عالم ليس لنا) مجموعة قصصية للكاتب الفلسطيني غسان كنفاني تشكل في مضمونها خلفية المأساة التي يعيشها المواطن الفلسطيني في ظل الإحتلال، هي صور للقلق والخوف والموت، جزءاً لا يتجزأ من حياة هذا الشعب، برع غسان كنفاني في إبرازها عبر الفن الروائي.
وكما كانت قصة "موت سرير رقم 12" مؤشراً على محاولة كنفاني طرح أسئلة حول الموت وحول الظروف التفصيلية التي يعيشها أكثر الناس. فإن قصة "العروس" ، إحدى قصص (عالم ليس لنا) تأتي لتطرح السؤال حول النضال الوطني الفلسطيني، وحول الرمز الذي سيتجسد في البندقية الفلسطينية. فعبد الرحمن بطل القصة بسبب ولائه للقضية وحبه في اللحاق بالفدائيين، ما أن يقبض المائة جنيهاً مهر (العروس) إبنته حتى يدفعها ثمناً للتشيكية / البندقية " ... أهو الرجل الوحيد الذي تبقى من مقاتلي "شعب"؟ ربما لست أدري في الواقع، ولكن يخيل إلي أن هذا هو السبب الذي جعل منه رجلاً غريباً ينتابه إحساس ثقيل بأنه ما زال يبحث عن بندقية ضائعة ليلتحق بالرفاق الذين كانوا ينتظرونه في القرية المهدمة ...".
تضم المجموعة (15) خمس عشرة قصة قصيرة نذكر من عناوينها "جدران من الحديد" ، "الصقر" ، "كفر المنجم" ، "ذراعه وكفه وأصابعه" ، "عشرة أمتار فقط" ، "المنزلق" ، "الشاطىء" (...) الخ.
