طريقه، فبد من الذهاب إلى الكويت، يجد
نفسه في طريقه إلى الأردن، ومنها إلى مصر،
حيث يدخل متاهة جديدة من متاهاته المتتالية،
يمر خلالها بسراديب «مريم » الحزينة، مستحضرًا
طوال رحلته تجسُّدات أُمِّه التي تتهادى أمامه،
وتتكثَّف في روحه، بينما يزداد انغماسًا في تيهه
الأبدي!
